Wilmer Wetlands

This is the view looking west from Eagle Ranch Golf Course. I took this picture in June several years ago. The views from there are amazing!

Oesa

Tried a lighter palette here to explore the alpine light.

Takakkaw Falls, Yoho

In the early summer I like to do a tour of Yoho. This is from a stop in 2008. The mist at the bottom is like rain!

McArthur Lake

This was an attempt to simplify as much as possible. I was most interested in the shapes and color.

Lake O'Hara Summer Afternoon

One of my favorite paintings. I was playing with contrast and bolder brush strokes. This painting is currently hanging at The Leighton Centre.

Stanley Glacier

Stanley Glacier is a great hike! With the most recent burn you can see amazing vistas as you follow the trail to the glacier.

Moraine Lake

One of my first paintings and a favorite subject. In the collection of a good friend! The shapes of the peaks captivate me.

Oesa

A fun painting for a special couple!

Lake Louise

I have painted Lake Louise many times. The subject matter always inspires me.

Winter Peaks

More winter peaks. This painting is in the collection of a dear and very old friend. So happy it found a home.

Moraine Lake

A watercolor of a favorite place. I love to visit in the very early summer before it gets too busy.

Columbia Lake Wetlands

Columbia Lake is such an amazing lake that changes all the time with the light. It can be a teal blue on clear day and then turn a grey blue like this painting when overcast. I have taken so many pictures from the lookout down the lake...probably will take more!

Hike to Stanley Glacier

This was a really fun painting to do. I was playing with shape and color and was inspired by a favorite artist, Zelda Nelson.

Lake O'Hara Winter

Lake Louise Summer Day

From a summer trip to Moraine and Lake Louise.

Bow River Winter Afternoon

Late afternoon in the winter.  Again playing with contrast and a simplified design.
